The Fallston Lions Club proudly announced Lion Joseph J. Livingston, Jr. as the District Governor of Multi-District 22-A for the distinguished Lion year of 1994-95.
Lion Joe's journey in Lionism began in 1977 when he joined the Fallston Lions Club. Over the years, he has diligently served in various roles within the club, starting as the Bulletin Editor and Lion Tamer, eventually climbing the ladder to become Club President in the years 1983-1984 and 2001-2002. His commitment to the club is unparalleled, boasting an impressive 11+ years of perfect attendance and earning the prestigious Melvin Jones fellow honor.
At the district level, Lion Joe exhibited exceptional leadership and dedication. He held pivotal roles such as Membership Chairman, Zone Chairman, General Chairman for Sight and Hearing, Regional Chairman, Cabinet Secretary, and Cabinet Treasurer, among others. His contributions were vast, and he consistently supported vital initiatives, including the Blood Donor Program and Leader Dog Chairman.
Lion Joe's commitment extended beyond the district level to the Multiple District, where he made notable contributions as Cabinet Secretary/Treasurer's Dinner Chairman and District 22-A Luncheon Chairman.
His involvement in Lionism was substantial on an international scale as well, attending multiple International Conventions and being an active delegate. Additionally, Lion Joe participated in numerous Multiple District Conventions and US/CANADA Forums, further enriching his Lionistic experience.
Outside of his Lionistic endeavors, Lion Joe displayed remarkable dedication to his community. He was a Life Member of The Fallston Volunteer Fire & Ambulance Company, Inc., holding various significant positions and contributing significantly to the well-being of the community. His service as an active Army National Guard employee and three years in the U.S. Army showcased his unwavering commitment to both country and community.
In his personal pursuits, Lion Joe was an avid Antique Car enthusiast and a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America. He cherished traveling in his Motor home, embracing the adventure that life had to offer.
Lion Joe Livingston, Jr.'s legacy is one of service, commitment, and a genuine passion for making a difference in his community and the Lionism organization. His memory and contributions continue to inspire and guide others in their own journeys of service and leadership.
