Bruce made significant contributions to the FVFAC and the community, greatly enhancing its operations and services during his tenure. He served in various roles, including Firefighter, EMS Lieutenant, Director, President, and FVFAC Trustee to the HCVFEMS Association. In addition to his roles within the FVFAC, Bruce also played an active part in the broader community, holding seats on the Harford County Audit Committee and the Medical Advisory Board.
One of Bruce's notable achievements was being only the second President of the FVFAC to serve four consecutive years in office. During this time, he oversaw the largest apparatus replacement in the history of the FVFAC. This initiative led to the replacement of outdated units and the introduction of new services to benefit the community. Bruce's dedication and leadership undoubtedly had a lasting and positive impact on the FVFAC and the people it serves.
